Not overwhelming, but good.

To be frank, not only am I getting a bit sick of sprite movies, I'm getting sick of NES being called "old skool." I mean, yeah, we've come a long way since the NES, but we've come an even longer way since the 2600.

Remember the 2600?

Remember when the home version of pac-man was monochromatic with like sixteen big, fat pixels, and the "dots" were big fat dashes? As opposed to the NES version, which looked just like the arcade.

Back to the animation. Very cute, watching all those classic NES characters die in various humiliating manners. I think the best part was the digital version of "Flight of the Bumblebee" during the closing credits. Reminded me of the Road Runner arcade console.

MajinPiccolo responds:

Trust me, I definitely remember the 2600, I still have mine. I never actually stated that is was old skool, I stated that it was "good ol' classic gaming", lol.

That gives me an idea, I may possibly tribute the 2600 in the future, but maybe not, I dunno.

Oh and the Flight of the Bumblebee is actually the ending song from the japanese Famicom classic, Parodius, hehehhee.

Wow. How utterly... pointless.

I mean, really really pointless.
...
And yet I liked it.

Perhaps because it was meant to be pointless, and so, succeeded.

Bee-frickin-youtiful!

First off, I just want to say that the characterizations were beautifully done -- I don't understand what made you choose some of the animals, but hey, it's your cartoon, not mine.

Secondly, this message will always be appropriate. It's important to remember that while nature is adaptable, OUR survival depends on the current ecosystem. Way to bring the message home.

I'm glad you didn't cop out and whip up a version without the caricatures for G8 -- you didn't, did you? -- because it's important to know for whom the message is intended.

Don't mind the average scores in the various categories. For me, that just means "not applicable."

I want my five minutes back.

Even after seeing the title, I figured, "what the hell, it can't be that bad, can it?"

There was virtually no animation to speak of, the dialogue was atrocious, the concept didn't live up to what little the title promised, and what plot there was was painfully slow.

What did you think? "Blasphemy and blood on screen make cartoon FUNNY"? Comedic blasphemy, IMO, requires a much subtler hand than this -- or an even more over-the-top one. And violence for the sake of violence is not necessarily amusing.

Yeow!

I take it we've seen a few bad art films in our time? Very nice dig.

Irredeemably Cute

That was just too dang cute... although I must admit that I've always found the "Gremlins" theme to be one of the catchiest movie themes ever... I've been known to hum it from time to time. (Hence the high sound score.)

Wow...

You may note the average scores (apart from interactivity), well, that's because, as is often the case with collaborations, you have a very wide range of quality here.

Overall, it was very funny and well done, but some of the bits were... well... rather weak. (Although, I did laugh my fuzzy butt off at the Alien Hominid bit.)

It's possible I closed the window before this question was answered in the animation, but what is that "Montage" song from? It was a beautiful way to credit the individual artists.

MACception responds:

Team America.

Though i'm torn between wether or not to like or hate you...i'll just ignore the decision and keep on my way.

Sweet as always.

Absolutely, the "Madness" series continues to go strong. Why do we like it? Who the #*$& knows? Probably the insanely over-the-top violence more than anything else.

Is it just me, or is the protagonist (such as he is) running out of body-parts to bandage up?

Weakish punchline, but otherwise quite good!

Well, the punchline was pretty weak, but for a quick one minute short, you put a loooot of work into this, and it shows. I foresee potential for a really annoying meme built around that theme song... always a sign of a good flash. :P

Too **** wrong!

Well, hey, I don't forsee this getting BLAMmed anytime soon. Although it doesn't exactly meet its goal of making fun of anime stereotypes (there aren't enough of them in it, IMHO) it does make wonderfully comic use of the cuter aspects of anime in a very twisted manner.

As far as it being random... well, that's one of the things I like about it! ~7.5/10

Yes, I am working on flash stuff. Yes, it is a pain to do so. :) Hopefully, you'll be able to see something soon, though.
